Some decisions are difficult: Cactus Club or JOEY, Batman or Superman, Coke or Pepsi. And when it comes to buying a home, you may be faced with making some tough financial choices. We hope to make those decisions a little easier with promotions — savings on the price of a home you love.

If those savings leave you with a bit more money in your bank account, we’ve come up with a few ideas on how you can re-invest it in your home to create a space that will increase value and/or comfort you for years to come.

MILLWORK

Take a look at areas of your new home where you can build in desks, benches, or storage. The first place to look for ideas is the project’s Display Home, which is often designed with millwork in place. Bookshelves or a multimedia centre can fit into most living rooms, while a nook can be transformed into a home bar or homework station. Some homes also come with the option of upgrading to millwork — check with our Sales Team to see what your opportunities are.

FURNITURE / DÉCOR

If you’re upsizing from a condo to a townhome, you may not have the all pieces to fully furnish your new spaces. Your promo savings can go into armchairs, a dining room table, or a bed for the guest room. Or maybe it’s time to replace that couch you’ve had since graduating from university.

Take some time to consider wallpaper, paint, and lighting fixtures. Get creative, and spiral into a Pinterest daze. There is so much potential in your home, and unexpected savings can be invested in your comfort.

AUTOMATE

Make your environment change with a swipe of your screen. Add home automation, such as lighting, heating, and sound, to different rooms. Listen to music in the living room through built-in speakers, and easily move that music to the bedroom with one touch. Or set the temperature on your way home from work, so it’s cozy when you arrive. You can also turn on lights when you’re out of town or set up a security system. Peace of mind is key.

INTERIOR DESIGNER

We’re not all bestowed creative genes. And it’s completely acceptable to turn to an expert in interior design to help you with your home. An interior designer will ask you in-depth questions about your style and needs, and transform your answers into your dream spaces. They understand colours, textures, and proportions. They know where to find deals and the perfect rug that will pull together a living room. It’s okay, you can tell your friends you did it yourself.
