Vintage charm and modern style. A restaurant row and fashion forum. East Van’s Main Street is a destination for people who love culture, food, creativity, and community.

As we launch Bailey, our first Vancouver homes a block away from Main Street, we’ve really gotten to know this neighbourhood. Here are just a few of the dozens of places we love on Main.

Matchstick: Grab a to-go Americano for a wander through Riley Park or get in a work groove at the long table in their bright space. Don’t forget to pick up a loaf of fresh and crispy bread for later.

The Arbor & The Acorn: These sister vegetarian restaurants are almost neighbours. One’s more casual and the other’s perfect for celebrations. Be sure to spend summer evenings on the Arbor’s “secret” patio.

Old Bird: This modern Chinese bistro puts a spin on traditional dishes and serves up delicious cocktails. Happy hour here is always hopping.

The Juice Truck Market: No need to track down the truck when there’s a retail location right in your neighbourhood. Indulge in plant-based foods, drinks, and supplements.

The Storehouse: There’s lots of treasure to be found on the vintage racks of this clothing and accessories shop. They also host pop-ups for local craftspeople — like jewelry makers and ceramicists.

Coco et Olive: While this cute space doubles as a café, they also carry a beautiful selection of ceramics. Your cabinets will be stocked with locally crafted dishware perfect for entertaining.

The Soap Dispensary: Say good-bye to wasteful packaging and hello to sustainability with a wide selection of bulk food staples and re-useable containers.

The Shameful Tiki Room: Look no further than here for a fun night of entertainment. At this kitschy local bar, you’ll see retro go-go dancers and hear classic tunes in a vintage room full of curiosities.

Hero’s Welcome: This casual, local pub has one of the best karaoke nights in the city. Plus, arcade games, billiard tables, and decadent nachos.

Lagree West: Take your endurance to new levels at this intense fitness club. And join a community of people sweating it out together.

Everywhere: Truthfully, everywhere you go on Main has that warm glow of community. And the longer you live here, the more you’ll get to know the people you run into in the shops and restaurants.
