One of our latest StreetSide communities is not only surrounded by parkland, it’s on the park. Canopy, a collection of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom townhomes, is located on Tynehead Regional Park in Surrey.

Known for its incredibly lush grounds, the park covers 260 hectares of meadows and forests lining the serene banks of the Serpentine River. And it’s your backyard.

Explore the trails that zigzag the greenery, stopping now and again at a viewing platform to admire the scene. Watch for the wandering wildlife in their natural habitat. You may come upon butterflies, owls, hawks, and coyotes or you could spy trout and salmon in the headwaters of the Serpentine. Drop by the Tynehead Hatchery to learn about conservation efforts for the salmon.

You’ll always have something new to see when you visit Tynehead Park.

Just around the corner from Canopy, you’ll find the newly opened Godwin Farm Biodiversity Preserve. Here you’ll walk amongst rare varieties of trees, including a 175-year-old registered heritage tree and dozens of fruit trees. Once a working farm, the 10.5 hectares of land was gifted to the City of Surrey for the public to enjoy and to protect the unique, ecologically sensitive lands. Dogs are not allowed in the preserve, but you can let them roam freely in Tynehead Park.

Step outside your home at Canopy and into nature.
