It has been a big year for StreetSide and Qualico – the 65th year, to be exact. In April, we celebrated Qualico’s 65th Anniversary year, where it was announced by Kevin Van, President of Qualico, that each Qualico employee will have a paid day to volunteer and give back to their local communities.

In the StreetSide office, we have already volunteered for a Salvation Army painting project in Langley, the Surrey Food Bank, and Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities.

Here are members of our team painting for the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope in Langley. Thank you to Dulux for supplying the paint, supplies, and coffee and donuts.

Another initiative launched in Qualico’s momentous year is the 65 Acts of Kindness program, where Qualico has dedicated $65,000 towards 65 different applications from Qualico staff. The company sees the importance of supporting the activities, charities, and philanthropic efforts of staff, and wants to share their stories of how their involvement in these charities make an impact in the community.

To date, 45 Acts of Kindness have been submitted by Qualico staff from our offices in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Austin, Texas. The charities that have benefitted are a diverse group of noble causes, including the ALS Society of BC Endowment Fund, the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, Critter Care Wildlife Society, and Gray Elementary School in Surrey.

It is a privilege to be part of a company that recognizes the importance of giving back to the community.

From all of us at StreetSide and Qualico, we wish you and your family a Happy Holiday season!
