Who can believe that summer is coming to an end? To celebrate the close of long summer nights and lazy beach weekends, we came up with a few great ways to spend the last weekend before September really sets in. Enjoy your Labour Day Long Weekend in Metro Vancouver!

The Fair at the PNE

Cotton candy, rollercoasters, petting zoos – The PNE truly defines summer every year. If you haven’t yet visited (and even if you have), head over to the fairgrounds at Hastings Park this weekend. The summer concert series has some amazing final acts, including Pat Benatar, The Monkees, and Chris Isaak.

Richmond World Festival

A full-day event this Saturday, Richmond’s newest festival celebrates the world. Catch music, dance, and art from different corners of the globe. Eat from a diverse selection of international cuisine. And learn about the beauty of other cultures.

The Bose Corn Maze

Get lost. No, really. The Bose Corn Maze in Surrey invites you to explore its labyrinth of corn. The twists and turns can take up to two hours to navigate. Can you find your way out?

Namaste Canada

Get to know the colours of India at Namaste Canada hosted by the Consulate General of India Vancouver. This Sunday, September 4th from 10:30am to 9:00pm at the Surrey Arts Centre, watch folk dances, view documentaries, and enjoy delicious Indian food.

Or, if the rain decides to fall, you could always get organized for back to school, grab a good book, or sink into a theatre seat. We’re also open all weekend from Saturday to Monday, noon to 5pm, at HYCROFT 2. Swing by for a visit!
