A Meaningful Year at StreetSide
Dec 17th, 2018
As we approach the midnight end to another year, we look fondly back at StreetSide’s memorable 2018.
We broke some records and won a few awards this year. March was our busiest sales month ever, with 111 townhomes sold at Canopy at Tynehead Park, while August saw the most closings in StreetSide history, with 78 closings at South Point Walk 2 and Canopy combined.
On the awards front, we were honoured to be a finalist in six categories and a winner in two categories at this year’s Georgie Awards:
- Best Multi-family Townhouse Development (Production): Maple Heights (Finalist)
- Best Project Identity: Everly Green (Winner)
- Best Advertising Campaign: Everly Green (Finalist)
- Best Sales Centre: Everly Green (Finalist)
- Best Corporate/Project Website: Everly Green (Winner)
- Grand Georgie Award: Marketing Campaign of the Year: Everly Green (Finalist)
In other community news, we began construction on our first condominium project in the City of Burnaby, Forte, with homes now selling in a pop-up sales centre. And we announced our next master-planned townhome community in South Surrey – 321 townhomes at The Boroughs. Stayed tuned for more project news in 2019.
We can’t believe that StreetSide began construction on our first project just five short years ago in 2013 and the first StreetSide homeowners took possession in 2015. In just over 3.5 years, we have handed keys to 594 homeowners, and currently have 271 homes under construction and 530 homes in the pipeline to begin construction in 2019. It’s been a whirlwind five years and we are grateful to the homeowners and communities that brought us this far.
Marking our success, the new Qualico Vancouver office broke ground this fall and we can’t wait to witness the progress of our new home.

We spent some time giving back to the community this year. Qualico’s Partners for Life initiative encouraged staff to donate blood with the Canadian Blood Services. Volunteer Days this year saw our team at the Surrey Food Bank, Toy Mountain and Scouts of Canada. We are thankful for the opportunities to give back and extend gratitude to our community.

We wish you all a warm and wonderful holiday season.
