Belong to Community in Maple Ridge

Becoming part of the Maple Ridge community is a fulfilling experience – friendly neighbours, local vibrancy, family-friendly atmosphere, and an abundance of nature. It’s why we keep building homes there.

Read on for reasons why you’ll love living in Maple Ridge.

NATURE: Even when you’re not in the depths of nature, you feel it and see it all around you – mountains and forests form the backdrop to home. From Kanaka Creek to Golden Ears Provincial Park (one of BC’s largest!), there are a variety of beautiful places in nature where you can breathe fresh and clear your mind. Hike the trails, stroll along the waterfront, horseback ride under a canopy of trees, and swim in Alouette Lake. You can even camp beneath the stars.

ARTS & CULTURE: Art, music, theatre… all avenues of the arts are celebrated in Maple Ridge. Enjoy live performances in the open air or inside a venue year-round. For over 40 years, the ACT Arts Centre has promoted and encouraged the arts throughout the community, and offers programs to express your creativity.

WELLNESS: With all the opportunities to stay active outdoors, you’ll quickly adopt a lifestyle of exercise. And there are other ways to stay on top of your wellness. Buy fresh, local produce and other food items at Haney Farmers Market, happening every Saturday (May to November) from 9am to 2pm in Memorial Peace Park. When you don’t feel like cooking, there are lots of restaurants that serve organic, locally-sourced feasts – such as Humble Roots Café & Deli

THE LOCALS: You’ll get to know your neighbours at local events throughout the year. Be sure to participate in Car Free Day, Maple Ridge Canada Day, the Annual Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Country Fest, the Food Truck Festival, the Annual Ridge Meadows Rivers Day, Celebrate the Night Festival and Fireworks, and lots more. And nominate those neighbours who you think are exceptional as a Community Champion.

If the above doesn’t convince you, Maple Ridge was officially ranked the 16thbest place to live in British Columbia from a list of 60 communities.
