Surrey for Foodies

Surrey’s culinary scene gets better by the year as more restaurants, breweries, cafes, and markets find a home here. There’s somewhere to satisfy all your food and drink cravings, whether it’s ethnic or vegetarian cuisine, someplace casual or a spot that’s fancy.

Here are a few of our favourite places in Surrey to grab something delicious.

Hooked Fish Bar

On the shores of Crescent Beach, this seafood joint is known for its fish & chips. Wander the boardwalk with some food to-go. Or dine on the wrap-around deck and watch all the beach happenings from your table.

Edith + Arthur

This Fleetwood neighbourhood public house offers a cozy pub experience that feels authentically British – there’s even a fireplace and an iconic exterior chimney. A delicious selection of share plates, salads, burgers, and other meals is available for dining in or out. There’s even a special menu for gluten-free and vegetarian options. And, of course, there’s beer.

My Shanti

Chef Vikram Vij opened this award-winning Indian restaurant in 2014, and it has established itself as a favourite for those who live in Surrey and those who don’t. Step inside and enter another world, with exotic colours, smells, and tastes.

The Cabin

Another Crescent Beach favourite, this relatively new addition to the food scene invites you inside for Pacific Northwest cuisine. There’s no fuss here – just great food and excellent company.

Vault Restaurant

Have a fun night out with friends at this Cloverdale restaurant. From bruschetta to calamari to lobster ravioli, you’ll find something that will hit the spot. Known for martinis, there’s also a wide selection of wines and beers to choose from.

Chopsticks on Pho

Eat your fill at this family-owned Vietnamese noodle house, and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner that won’t empty your wallet. Dishes span all levels of spice, such as Spicy Seafood Pho, Pho Xao Chicken, and Bun Vermicelli Bowls.

Sugar Patisserie

Colourful macarons will satiate any sweet tooth. But these sumptuous French morsels aren’t the only treats here. Bite into decadent tarts, cupcakes, bars, and cookies. The patisserie even makes wedding and specialty cakes for any occasion.

White Rock Farmers’ Market

This famous farmers’ market has begun its summer season. Find fresh, local fare, listen to live music, and have a fun day with the family. The market runs every Sunday through to October.
